IFI - Arkansas Quote
“I would not mind if all the population at the Hawkins Center were in the IFI program. . . . The cooperative spirit that the IFI staff demonstrate each day is a testament to what they teach.”

As of May, 2010, both the men’s and women’s programs are located at the Hawkins Unit, a minimum/medium custody facility in Wrightsville, Arkansas, which is about 10 miles south of Little Rock. Preference for acceptance into the InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI) programs is given to those inmates who are approaching release within 18-24 months.
IFI Success Stories in Arkansas
|
At present, there are 150 men in the IFI program; sixty of whom have completed the 18-month program and are now awaiting release. Thirty-five men, who have completed the in-prison program and have been released, are participating in the reentry program. By God's grace, 16 ex-offenders have completed the reentry program and are, therefore, considered to be graduates of the IFI program. On the women's side, 31 inmates are participating in the program. Twenty-six additional women have successfully finished the 18-month and look forward to their release dates. Eight women, who have completed the IFI in-prison program and have been released, are currently participating in the reentry program.
